BERLOOK Wishlist

One of the first blog posts I wrote, over 12 years ago, was titled, “The Oppression of a One-Piece”. The theme was basically, that I went to a pool party for 20 kindergarteners, and never changed into my bathing suit, because all the moms were in one-pieces… And my skimpy bikini was clearly not acceptable. In my defense, at the time, I was in my 20’s and I only owned skimpy bikinis. I immediately went out and bought a one-piece bathing suit and wrote a blog post about how it made me feel. Conforming to social norms. Not really my thing, but sometimes necessary.

If I had been able to find something like this Backless Long Sleeve One-Piece Swimsuit from BERLOOK, at the time, I would have felt much less oppressed. Let’s start with the fit. You may be thinking… Oh, it must be super long, because Chelsea is super tall. Yes, I’m tall. But I am all legs and have an average length torso. I ordered a Large and it’s perfect. True to size, with built-in removable cup pads and fully lined. As I get older, coverage is key and this black swimsuit covers what matters. Chest, shoulders, arms and bottom. Now, keep in mind it’s a bit high on the leg (which I love, because it makes my long legs look so lean) and the bottom is medium coverage. There’s no riding up, but there’s definitely some cheeks showing. It’s perfect.

Now that I know first-hand how incredible the quality of BERLOOK’S swimwear is, that it’s made from eco-friendly and recycled materials and that the fit is “on point”, I’m going to share my wish list of what I want next. Let’s start with this Pink Lurex Cutout One Piece. I’m in love. Give me pink sparkle on anything and I need it. I can only imagine how pretty the pink shines in the sun. I love that the back is open and adjustable and that it has removable cup pads. Yes, please.

The high waist style snatches the smallest part of your body to enhance your figure and it’s an extremely comfortable style that allows you to be active on the beach or in the water. The Ruched Floral Cut Out Bikini Top is precious and flatters almost any chest size.

I can’t. Look at the gorgeous color of this Backless Lurex One-Piece Swimsuit in Blue. Stunning. Again, with the high leg, medium coverage and fully exposed back, this high-quality swimsuit is definitely going on my wish list. It’s going to be perfect for Aruba in February.
