FREE PEOPLE is Coming to Portland!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE… I CAN NOT contain my excitement. My absolute favorite brand, FREE PEOPLE is opening a store in Portland, Maine. I mean, about darn time!! We have both of FREE PEOPLE’S sister stores, Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters, so it makes perfect sense. If you’re not super familiar with the brand, FREE PEOPLE, let me give you a little background. Like me, FREE PEOPLE was born in the early 80’s. No wonder we have so much in common. The brand is known for it’s boho vibes and funky fits.

If you follow my blog, or my life, you know that I’m borderline obsessed. It’s not my fault. The brand speaks to me. With buttery soft fabrics, a combination of slim and oversized fits and color combinations that don’t make sense, I’m in love. In the past, my only complaint is that (other than a few pieces at Dick’s or if I’m traveling) I have to order online. That comes with questions like, will the pants be long enough? Is is so oversized, I should size down? Does the fabric have enough stretch? Now that I can shop in-person, we’re in trouble.

IF I wanted to go back to working nights and weekends, I would get a part-time job there, just for the discount. But we all know I’m not a fool. Instead, I’ll just do that thing I do and wait to see if something I’ve been wanting goes on sale in my size. If it does, it’s meant to be. Fun strategy, right? The only problem is, FREE PEOPLE is so popular right now, that their pieces usually sell out at full price. A sale is rare.

The solution? Now that I can go to the store, I can try pieces on to find the perfect fit and then find them on POSHMARK. That’s how I’ve purchased 90% of the pieces I own. Between the FP MOVEMENT bundle I got with leggings, bras and shorts, four rompers, lace INTIMATELY FREE PEOPLE tops and bodysuits and the most coveted HOT SHOT Onesie, I got it all on discount from POSHMARK, new, with tags. New to POSHMARK? Use my code: CHELSEAKRAYFASH to get a discount on your first purchase.

Pray for me that I can keep myself under control with the new brick and mortor FREE PEOPLE coming to Portland, Maine on Middle Street. I’m an excellent “window shopper”, so I’ll vow to stick to my strategy, but if I need it… I need it, right? Let’s go shopping!
