New Lengths

Of course.  As soon as my collection of maxis (dresses and skirts that go to the floor) are complete, I open my fashion magazines to see that the maxi is out and the midi (dresses, skirts and pants that fall below your knee and above your ankle) are all the rage.  Come on!
I do like the more sophisticated hem line of the midi.  I like that the length shows off a pair of fabulous heals.  I also like that I can now wear all those maxis (because my legs are ridiculously long) that were too short in a new way.  I think I'm liking this midi trend.
Proportions are really important when wearing a midi.  Wear yours with heels or a wedge.  Flats will make your legs appear short and stumpy.  Wear a top that skims your waist.  A top that falls below your waistline is too long and will appear disproportionate.  Keep your accessories simple and not overstated.  Let the midi be the star of the show.  A midi is a bold new length that anyone can pull off.  A simple black midi dress is a perfect blank canvas to dress up or down any way you like.  I got my  dress and accessories from www.dailydazzledeals.com and the sheer top is from H&M.
